Safari – a shibori resist dyed technique to create a beautiful palette of navy, black and peach. The dye process used is very organic each skein will absorb and mix the colours in it’s own unique way. Each skein will be completely different in colour placement.
Available in hardy sock a 4ply/fingering weight 22.5 micron merino/nylon 80/20 blend. In minimum 100gm skeins. The 4plys have an approximate meterage of 395m.
The yarn is an Australian Merino sourced from Wangaratta . I help support other small Australian businesses where ever I possibly can.
Mahogany Turtle uses high quality acid based protein dyes which like all hand dyed yarns requires respect while laundering. I recommend hand washing, alone, in your chosen wool wash, drying flat in the shade. Some minimal bleeding may occur in the first wash, this isn’t a fault. Wash the item separately to avoid any transfer. If you are wanting to combine light and dark colours please do a test swatch.
Colours will vary from batch to batch and even skein to skein in the same batch. If you are working on a large project that requires more than one skein please order the amount you need and I will send you the skeins most alike. It is also best to alternate skeins to disperse the colour differences across your project. This is particularly important with the organic colour placements of Bohème.
Colours may appear slightly different on your viewing platform.
