Sirene- Classical Mythology. One of several sea nymphs, part woman and part bird, who lure mariners to destruction by their seductive singing.
The Sirene scarf is a pretty and delicate design with waves rolling around it’s circumference, hiding the Sirene within.
*The teal scarf shows the scarf as written in the pattern. The pink scarf uses the instructions to extend the length and uses pattern rows either side of the starting foundation

Made from 100% merino.
Fit: The Sirene scarf can be made larger by adding extra sets of 14 stitches to the original CFDC and repeating the pattern sets an equal amount of extra times. Likewise if you wish to make the scarf more fitted remove sets of 14 till you are happy with the width.
Yarn: 4ply/fingering weight yarn of merino or a soft blend.
Suggested brands: Mahogany Turtle Fibre Art. Patons Dreamtime.
Hook: Size 4mm/G
Supplies: yarn needle, stitch marker.
Intermediate level pattern, American terminology. You will need knowledge of basic crochet stitches:
CFDC: Chainless foundation double crochet.
Sc: Single Crochet
Hdc: Half double crochet
Dc Double crochet
Tr: Triple Crochet
Ss: Slip stitch
Ch1sp: Chain 1 space
